Abstract

A review of the medical literature in respiratory care and nursing journals finds limited publications on light-induced fluorescence endoscopy (LIFE) or human papilloma virus (HPV). Patients with malignant transformation associated with recurrent respiratory papillomatosis may develop a squamous cell carcinoma. We report how LIFE may be used to identify early dysplastic and malignant changes in patients with HPV.
