Abstract

This 49-year-old black female presented with a perianal mass in April 1976. It was found to be a poorly differentiated epidermoid carcinoma of the anal canal invading the colon wall at the squamo-columnar junction. An abdominal-perineal resection and colostomy were performed without complications.
