Abstract

Using a modified sort procedure, sucrose octaacetate (SOA) taste thresholds were measured to elucidate the nature of the distribution among humans. Thresholds were distributed unimodally, with a median of 4.0 μM, and ranging from 0.25 to 16.0 μM.
