Abstract

A 78-year-old man with prostate cancer was being evaluated for metastatic prostate disease. Three months earlier, the patient had recurrence of a meningioma in the left parafalcine region, which was subsequently resected. He underwent indium-111 capromab pendetide scintigraphy, which localized within the region of the patient's recurrent meningioma. A Tc-99m MDP bone scan showed peripheral abnormal uptake and previous craniotomy margins. Pathologic analysis of the excised intracranial mass proved it to be a residual meningioma.
