Abstract

Pseudocysts of the pancreas in children are rare. We present two cases of pancreatic pseudocysts which failed to resolve with medical management and required surgical treatment. A cystogastrostomy was performed to drain the pseudocysts. The postoperative results were excellent, with prompt resolution of the symptoms and disappearance of the abdominal mass. The recent advances for the management of this disease are discussed.
