Abstract

A series of poly(styrene/divinylbenzene) derivatives were prepared and characterized by solid-state 13C FT-NMR, FT-IR, elemental analysis, SEM and TGA. The resins were then subjected to pyrolysis in order to determine which derivatives resulted in high yields of carbonaceous material while retaining a spherical shape.
