Abstract

Teleophthalmology encompasses access to specialist eye care for remote patients, ophthalmic disease screening, monitoring, diagnosing and management, sharing of medical resources, collaboration on research and clinical trials, and distance learning and continuing education. This is the first book in ophthalmology to cover this hot topic. It explains technical issues, digital imaging, and offers collective experiences of practitioners in different parts of the world practicing a wide range of teleophthalmology applications. The book is written by international and leading experts from around the globe.
