Abstract

Borohydride supported on an ion exchange resin in methanol reduced aryl azides and arylsulfonyl azides to the corresponding aromatic amines and aryl sulfonamides in excellent yields. The isolation of pure products by simple filtration and evaporation is an important feature of this method.
