The Saur cannula for renal preservation

Abstract

The Saur cannula offers excellent pulsatile perfusion and good renal function, and causes no demonstrable endothelial damage. It minimizes contact between the renal artery endothelium and the cannula, and offers the opportunity of simultaneous perfusion of individual arteries via Carrel patch. It is handy addition to the organ preservationist's armamentarium.
